BNN Services: the first founder-dependent business she fixed was her own.

Madeline Ricci, founder and CEO of BNN Services
Madeline Ricci, founder and CEO of BNN Services

In 2008 Madeline was laid off after an 18-year corporate career. She started BNN Services that same year, in a recession, with no advertising budget, no audience, and no network handed to her.

She built it into an eight-figure national services firm with a national network of 5,000+ trusted agents who consistently deliver. When Texas authorized Remote Online Notarization, she adopted it early and moved the firm ahead of the category.

The company now runs on systems and leadership, not on her presence. Decisions have named owners, standards are written, and leaders carry the work forward.

The proof is what her week looks like. She is still CEO of BNN Services while advising founders, co-hosting a podcast, and running a consulting firm.

That is what built beyond you means.

Client results

A specialty orthopedic practice

Before

The founding physician approved scheduling, hiring, and every exception. Growth stalled at the limit of one calendar.

What we did

The engagement ran the FREED framework end to end: found where every decision terminated with the founder, moved authority and accountability together into named seats, engineered the schedule, standards, and escalation path into systems, embedded them with the team, and developed the leaders who now hold them.

After

The practice runs the schedule, the standard, and the escalation path without the founder in the room. The physician practices medicine instead of managing exceptions.

The measurable outcomes from this engagement are shared in conversation.

Currently in the field

Work in motion, reported honestly.

These are live engagements. No outcomes are claimed while the work is still running.

  • Financial services SaaS. Built from the ground up.

Most founders call after the business already depends on them. This one called before the product existed. The work so far: we mapped the brand and defined the exact problem the product solves in the market, positioning sharp enough to cut through an AI landscape drowning in noise. Then we outlined the FREED process on day one, setting the boundaries from the start so founder dependency never gets built in.

It is easier to build beyond the founder than to rebuild around one.

    Engagement in progress

  • A healthy aging clinic. The business lives in the founder’s head.

The founder is also the doctor. No documented operating system, no patient onboarding, no sales process, and no staff of her own yet: today the clinic runs on employees shared from another business. The work so far: we are interviewing the owner and extracting her entire process out of her head and into documentation a team can own. This is FREED’s first discipline at full depth: find every place the business depends on the founder, then write it down so it belongs to the company instead. The targets this engagement is built toward: a culture that runs without the founder, a doctor who practices without burning out, an operating system that gives her first true team the confidence to own their jobs from day one, and a patient experience unlike anything else in the market.

You cannot scale what lives only in someone’s head.

    Engagement in progress

  • A first-time author. Authority built for the AI search era.

A new author with a message worth hearing and no platform yet to carry it. The work so far: an assessment across five growth levers to find where the launch needs focus first, and KPIs mapped backward from the single outcome the engagement points at, a bestselling launch. Brand, SEO, AEO, and GEO are being built together so the author is findable by readers, credible to media, and citable by the AI systems people now ask for recommendations. Progress is reviewed against the numbers every 90 days.

A bestseller is built long before launch day.

One conversation. We look at where the business waits for you, and what it would take for it to stop. She works with established founders.
